Practice nurse and educator
Dr Beth Shirley, BSc, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Shirley is a GP with a special interest in baby and child sleep. She completed her undergraduate studies majoring in psychology at the University of Queensland and then went on to complete her medical degree there in 2003. In 2009 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
After having her first baby, Beth realised the importance of good quality care for parents and their children and has had the pleasure of working exclusively with this group of patients since. She is particularly interested in promoting a positive relationship between parents and their children by providing support in the areas of sleep and feeding.
Sleep issues are complex and impact on the whole family. My aim is to work with families to develop a plan that will address their sleep concerns while also taking into account their parenting style and values.
